The Charters Towers Rugby Union Club - 'The Bulls' - thanks new and old players, support staff and supporters for the 2010 season, and welcomes you to the 2011 season. The Bulls play in the Townsville and Districts Rugby Union (TDRU) competition, with matches in Townsville, Ayr, Ingham and home games in Charters Towers.

Bulls ClubhouseRugby Union origins in Charters Towers date to pre-1885. The current club has been established for30 years in Charters Towers and has won several premierships and been finalist on a number of occasions. The club has also had many players who have played in the Townsville representative team 'The Brolgas' and the Queensland country team.

The Bulls is a community-based club, proudly supported by local businesses and built on the tradition of hard voluntary support work. The club has its own field (Dave Thomas Field), clubhouse and facilities located at the corner of Deanes and Phillipson Roads.
