Charters Towers Rugby Union Football Club

Presentation Night

October 10. 2009

The 2009 Rugby Union season was celebrated at the clubhouse with the Senior's Presentation Night. President Ted Vinson directed traffic for us all.

Trudy Brown was the most attractive MC we have had in years and she kept the proceedings going (after Will and Jen finally arrived!).

Nick Bailey was ruthless as Sergeant at Arms, seeing if any 'gentlemen' were in attendance.

Chris Kirkwood led the toasts with one for rugby in general,

then Graeme ('Shakin' all Over') Harding gave a toast to the CTRUFC.

Rob Sweeper gave the reply to these toasts.

Desperate Adrian Wensley toasted the women of the club,

and Jen Stevenson ably replied, though Hollywood Will Green had forgoten to mention to her that she was requested to fulfill that role.

Nick Bailey managed to toast the referees - and mention kindred clubs.

Ted Vinson (note the glasses) replied on behalf of himself and fellow referees - and the kindred clubs.

Captain (Chris) Kirk(wood) gave his report on the season.

Before the 'serious' section, Nick Bailey gave us an insite into some of the antics and peculiarities of players throughout the season. Those who weren't there missed some interesting stories.

After the break for an excellent meal supplied by Gold City Catering, the awards section began with a report by Coach Shaun 'Chilly' Burdell.

Chilly then began the Presentation of Trophies.
